Chef Gunawan Wibisono began his successful career preparing and serving sushi at fast food sushi counter Yanagi; gaining experience over a two-year period, he then started working at Kisso, located in Olde City Philadelphia.
He achieved the top position at Kisso before accepting the honor of head chef at Iron Moto, in. Being a head chef, his eagerness to learn, and expand his skills, was a driving force.
Wanting to build upon his talent and develop his established credentials, Mr. Wibisono took a position with Morimoto, early in 2004
His sushi formula involves a generous amount of Japanese products infused with his own novel touches. Without compromising on taste, Mr. Wibisono has developed his own creative interpretation of modern Japanese cuisine that is also wholesome at the same time.
He also artfully combines a myriad of distinct flavours into a modern gastronomic symphony. Each dish is an innovative masterpiece, created with elegance, and true finesse.
